RISING
1. To Rising North Gate 14.

Barzhal is here. You can ask him permission to join the Barzites. He can also grant you permission to enter the Radiant college. If you ask to join the Barzites, he will give you some quests to prove your loyalty:

  • Quest: Barzhal's Testing (part 1). Eliminate the Awakened spy.
  • Qeest: Barzhal's Testing (Part 2). Eliminate the Loyalist encampment.

Once you have joined, he will give you additional quests:

  • Quest: Get Tuldaric's Notes. Reward: He unlocks room 16 for you.
  • Quest: Kill Zakary. Access to 2 more canisters in room 16.
  • Quest:Destroy the Geneforge. Access to 2 more canisters in room 16.

If you are here to kill him, he drops an shaper robe and Danette's cloak.

Guardian Stanis, who you may have a bone to pick with, is also here. If you kill him, he drops an essence eater sword and an iron breastplate. He may also drop a guardian cloak.
2. A chest is protected byt 2 box traps. The chest contains stylish slippers 15. The stand book is about Barzite education. +25 xp first time you read it.
3. The lockers contain a living tool, some shaper equipment, and a major healing pod (all NY). A pouch of curing spores, however, is free to take. 16.

There is a canister here: Mindsheld +1. A reaper baton, a shaped blade, and a restoration pod are on the tables. There are also additional canisters here. You will be given access to them as rewards for Barzahl's quests.
4. The lockers contain a venom baton, a thorn baton, a spray crystal and an airshock crystal (all NY). 17. The lever that unlocks this room is across the hall. It requiires 1 living tool at 9 Mechanics. There is a canister here: Evasion +1. The cabinet contains a gold ring, quicksilver chitin, a static band, and a mica band. The desk contains some shaper records and a gold goblet. The box contains 5 rubies and 239 coins.
5. Merchant. She can tell of some events that might be of interest to you. But, has nothing else interesting to say. 18.

Shingle controls the machinery here, but isn't very helpful. It may be possible to conduct some sabotage here...

Jail. There are 4 levers in the north hall of the building.

  • The 1st (most west) lever opens the room to the south of it (which is empty).
  • The 2nd lever opens the cell in the NW corner. A servile named Tiree is there. You may at some point receive a quest to check on him.
  • The 3rd lever doesn't appear to do anything at all.
  • The 4th (most east) lever opens the cell in the SE. The lockers in this cell contain a spray baton, splitting thorns, a discipline wand (NY) and an airshock crystal.
 19. More of Shingle's machinery is here. The crate contains a living tool. The control panel here disables the shield around the control column in room 18.
7. To Breeding Pits 20. Corin makes canisters here. She'll tell you a little bit about the room. There is an essence pool here.

Shaping Hall. Trace is a new shaper. She needs help with a couple of things.

  • Quest: Eliminate Alphas at Old Rising Bridge. Reward. Puresteel boots.
  • Quest: Find Trace's Letter. Reward: Cleansing baton.

There are two pieces of shaper equipment and an essence pod on the table (all NY). There is also an essence pool in the room. The chest contains a living tool (NY).

9. Stairs down to Rising (Underground) 22. Canister: Essence Lash +1.
10. Blacksmith. 23. Canister: Wrackwave +1.
11. A living tool is on the ground. 24. Canister: Group Heal +1.

Selitrha is a guardian who commands the common soldiers in Rising. If you are a Barzite, She has a quest for you:

  • Quest: Recover Stones. Reward: Puresteel belt.

This door to this room takes 4 living tools at 13 Mechanics, even if you're a Barzite. It has two canisters:

  • Canister: Intellect +1.
  • Canister: Create Cockatrice +1.
13. The cabinets contain a healing pod, a curing pod, 16 steel javelins, 6 shaped lances, a chainmail vest and 4 crystals. A chest here contins the Rising Key, which can be used to open Tiree's cell in area 6.
