MEDAB
1. To Medab Road 16.

Learned Pinner can tell you much about the history of the serviles and humans here and much about the current situation. She can also tell you where to find Barzhal and which zones in the immediate area might offer training.

She will ask you to side with the Awakened. But, requires you to complete some quests before you join:

  • Find East Medab Spy.
  • Eliminate Spy Drayk.

If you join the awakened, your next tasks are:

  • Stop the Research at the Radiant Collage.
  • Help Complete the Barrrier of the Winds.
  • Kill the 3 Drayk Leaders in Benerii-Uss.

The door to the west requires the Inner Medab Key (or a lot of living tools) to open. If you join the Awakened, Pinner will give you the key. The book on the stand discusses the goals of the Awakened (+25 xp for first read).

3. To Medab West Bridge
4. The servile behind the desk here doesn't have much to say. The cabinet behind him has some javelins (NY). The Medab Gate Key unlocks the door on the left, but 3 living tools at 6 Mech will also work. 17.

The book on the stand contains Awakened Information. Medab's enemies might find this information very interesting.

5. This smithee sells arms and armor. Prices: expensive. 18. Some supplies are kept here, including: 16 steel javelins, 3 healing pods, a living tool, and 3 spray crystals.
6. The two eastern pens contain creations that will attack if you open their doors: Fyora (west), Thahd (east). 19.

This room appears to be an armory. Its door requires 1 living tool at 8 Mech. It contains: a pacification wand and 3 living tools (in the cabinets) as well as an agent robe, a shaped breastplate, major healing spores and a reaper baton (on tables).

7. Living tool (in barrel). 20.

The door to this room requires 4 living tools at 8 Mechanics. The cabinet contanis a shiny cloak and a fine cloak (both NY). There are some some mandrake root, shaper reocrds and a gold goblet on the table. Some shaped boots are on the floor.

8. Venom baton on table. The chest contains 50 coins and a coded letter to Rising. Trace iin Rising has a quest to find this letter. 21. 2 high damage box traps protect 3 containers in this room. It takes about 10 Mechanics to diffuse them. The boxes contain: 512 coins, 4 blast crystals and 3 rubies.
9.

Lora (merchant) will buy any shaper equipment you come across for 30 coins each (earns xp too). However, this ends when you have sold her a total of 30. She also has several items to sell that might be useful to an adventuring shaper. Prices: exhorbitant (but average if you join the Awakened).

The keeper of this inn is also wandering around this area. He sells food, but has nothing to say.

Dayna can be found wandering here. She can give you a quest:

  • Find Dayna's Book. It can be found in the Magus Complex.

Zyan sells potions and magical spores. Prices: expensive (unless you join the Awakened). She'll also confirm that the serviles here are immigrants from Sucia Island and tell you that she has lost a package.

  • Quest: Find Zyan's Package. It can be found in Warren of the Three. Reward: A battle pod and a major healing pod.

Carnelian (shaper). She has been helping with an outbreak of a new disease afflicting the serviles. If you offer to help, she wil give you a quest:

  • Find Healing Spores. Reward: She'll teach you enough to raise your Create Artila skill by 1 point.
  • Cure Servile Disease. Reward: She gives you the forbidden band and can now help with a cure for Emily.

She can also provide training, but prices as Exhorbitant unless you have joined the Awakened. Moreover, she can direct you to a nearby zone where additional training is available.

The door to the room in the NW requires 1 living tool at 6 Mechanics. It has a cannister: Essence Lances +1. The cabinet in this room contains some shaper equipment, 1 healing pod and some healing spores (all NY).

This merchant sells thorns, magical pods, and living tools. Prices: exhorbitant.

The southern chest contains a major healing pod and a spray crystal.

Leitz (servile youth dressed in purple) is wandering around this area. He will tell you a little about how the serviles came here.

Praw has lost some ornks:

  • Find Lost Ornks. Reward: 3 living tools, an iron breastplate, and 2 spore pouches.

The cabinet contains 4 fine mined crystals and 2 living tools (all NY)

The cabinet here contains 7 javelins and 2 healing pods. There are heavy boots on the floor (all NY).

26. The chest in this area contains a special item: Medab Gate Key. The cabinet contains a chainmail vest and a venom baton (both NY).
14.

Seli (human) is wandering around this area. He will give you some information on the location of Barhzhal. If asked about the threats to Medab, he'll give you some quests:

  • Clear Medab South Road. Eliminate the two spawners. Reward: some gems.
  • Help Medab Troops. Help the troops clear out some rogues at Infiltrator Fort. Reward: 4 rubies and a rod of succor.
27. The south door requires the Medab Gate Key to open. The cabinet contains 13 javelins (NY).

After greeting you at area 2, Kashya can be found here. She asks you to swear not to harm Pinner.

+. Turret. These projectile-spitting plants can do a good amount of damage. They ignore you at first, but could be dangerous if Medab considered you an enemy.
